I think 2012 is going to be one of the most interesting yet - with so many changes, big wins from the likes of Danny in Senior and Troy in Junior that perhaps at the beginning of last year were maybe not consiodered by some as a threat - well they are now!
Add to that the changes for Brendan, Athertons, Sam Hill being fit..... These are not little differences compared to the previous years but huge differences.
Who's going to be the one to watch this year? Apart from the obvious of Gwin, Hart, athertons, Troy, Hill, Greg etc - who's going to shine in 2012 for the first time?
Whilst Troy is clearly a force to be reckoned with and may well do very well this year and i'm certainly not suggesting that Troy was anything but the fastest rider on the day I felt that Sam hill still looked to be just cruisng.... is it his style and has he just not upped his pace to flat out yet?
You can see how big the gap was in someo of these snipits....

I would say its over 45 foot - We decided to tape it like that to give those brave enough chance to gain some.... was mighty huge though - I bet its closer to 60ft than 45ft.....
Thanks for the comments guys. Was a cracking weekend and we have more to come North West Style too.
Anyone wondering why the course was so short (as in those from abroad) This is Grass Roots Racing at the basic level.... cheap, fun, push up, evening entertainment and plenty going on for the length of the track with a bit of everything from flowy bermed corners and North Shore (Farmer John Style) to techy tight and rooty corners...

I'm sorry right but I know MTB is dangerous - thats why we do it and we know the risks..... I wear a helmet to even ride to the shops and wear fully body armour when DH'ing..... if it wasn't dangerous we wouldn't do it.....
without a wheel brace or whatever they're called would be good. My mate just does his in his frame.
I think its good to show the basics......there are many riders out there who really know very little and they have to learn from somewhere.... why not pinkbike?
Brendan did win but he cannot be Welsh Champion. Basically in the Elite Class he won and got the points for winning but there is a second podium, medals and such for 'Welsh Only'
